Have you ever felt like you have been playing the same games for so long they almost feel rather boring? I know I have. However, I am sure you too have done that because it is hard to branch out into new games when you have been doing the same thing for so long. Well, that does not have to be the case.
The varsitygaming blog has recently begun highlighting just a few of the exciting things that happen on campus, and a great one to start it with was the recent parade of costumes at the U.S. Olympic Trials. To make the costumes more interesting, this year we decided to have a theme of “clothes, costumes and more.” This theme was reflected in the many different outfits that students, staff, and university community members wore and the pictures that were shared on social media of students and other people coming to cheer on the athletes.
I’m not entirely sure what I’m doing with this blog, other than that I will be posting what I can every now and then. Maybe I’ll add some pictures. Maybe I’ll not. I don’t know. I’ll update you from time to time.
Whether you like it or not, superheroes are as common in fiction as charming romantic comedies and slapstick horror movies. No matter what streaming platform you’re on, there are always shows or movies featuring the journey of a masked hero saving the world from evil. And even though the plots of superhero movies are as predictable as can be, millions of fans still flock to Spider-Man reboots, DC movies and unlimited MCU offerings. The reason? We want what we can’t have. And superheroes have a lot of them! We may not be able to play the hero in this life, but who says our Sims can’t play a little? And with all these awesome CC superhero themes, you can create your own OP character group or just have your Sims celebrate all their favorite fictional heroes.1. PosterHeroes
Check out this AC. In a real nerd cave, there are posters of cartoon characters instead of wallpaper. Why waste precious space with cheap beige paint when you can apply a glow-in-the-dark image of Batman or Spider-Man? I’m sure your Sim’s roommate or partner wouldn’t mind if it made you happy! So buy this collection of hero posters with images of Green Lantern, Batman, Captain America and many more in different designs.
2. Happy 2016 Sweet Taco Plumbos
Check out this AC. Who needs the works of Renaissance artists when you can admire framed portraits of superheroes? Here, Deetron-sims has put together a huge collection that includes not one, not two, but over 20 works of superheroes in contemporary styles. Even better, this CC pack includes a shiny suit, jacket, and cape that allows you to create a fairly standard (but effective) super suit.
3. Superhero costumes and masks for kids
Check out this AC. Becoming a Sim-child isn’t bad at all, when you think about it. Especially if that means getting superhero clothes that are more comfortable than real world clothes. I mean, who wouldn’t want to take an afternoon nap in a Superman costume?
4. Magical Battle Poses
Try these poses Honestly, the plot of a superhero series or movie doesn’t really interest me, as long as the fight scenes are cool. Punches, gut punches, magical explosions – when that’s all in a perfectly staged fight scene, I’m sold without having to advertise. But of the three options, I’m more for magical combat, so this set of magical combat pose is a no-brainer for me!
5. Unexplained skin tones
Check out this AC. Since we’re talking about creating simulated superheroes, you don’t have to limit your imagination. Ghosts, vampires, and even the Grim Reaper are commonplace in TS4. So we create the most epic look for your Sims. Let’s start by applying some of these custom skin tones to your Sims to look like an intergalactic space guard. Hit him, Star-Lord!
6. Psylocke Kit
Check out this AC. Although it looks sexy, this CC Psylocke set is definitely a danger on the battlefield. Olivia Munn, the actress who played Psylocke in the 2016 X-Men: Apocalypse, even that bathing suit was hard to put on without a good coat of oil. The battle between the overpowering aliens and the humans in this skinny thing will do more harm than good. But at least there’s armor for the story, right? If you don’t care about physical scars that last a lifetime, then feel free to wear this outfit by Astyana96.
7. Total Spies
Check out this AC. Back when Cartoon Network still produced great series, I absolutely loved Totally Spies. Sam, Alex and Clover have made an exciting career out of crime fighting and espionage – if only it were that easy. Working part-time as an international spy while doing drama at school would be a nightmare. But these three girls made it look so easy that I was hoping for a WOOHP. To celebrate the big show, don your Sims’ iconic green, yellow or red spy costumes to save the world from evil rock stars, chaotic circus owners and mean girls.
8. Deadpool Costume
Check out this AC. Deadpool, the internet’s favorite superhero, is finally on that list. The 2016 film Deadpool propelled Wade Wilson’s popularity so far that every scene in the film became valuable meme material. Thanks to its strong meta-humor, Deadpool dominated the box office – and earned Ryan Reynolds several big-budget sequels. He’s a cocky little mutant, but he has gifts and a blood resistant super suit. And now your Sims can bring this outfit into their world too.
9. Wonder Woman Set
Check out this AC. What else can you say about this woman? Wonder Woman is one of the strongest (if not the strongest) female superheroes of all time. Born of Zeus and Hippolyta, queen of the Amazons, few can compete with Wonder Woman or Diana the Prince. Wonder Woman is virtually unmatched in strength, speed and sense of justice and is just a great character for superheroines. If you’re looking for the high end, then you should definitely buy this CC set for your Sims!
10. Teen Titans Costume
Check out this AC. As a fan of the original Teen Titans series, this CC package is a nostalgic trip back to the days when Cartoon Network was still worth watching. At first glance, you would think that the Teen Titans were created randomly. But surprisingly, Cyborg, Robin, Beast Boy, Starfire and Raven turn out to be a formidable team capable of protecting New York City and fighting mega-villains like Slade. And with this costume, you can give your teenage Sims a boost for Halloween, cosplay, or just for fun around the neighborhood.
11. Superman
Check out this AC. I won’t bore you with the introduction of Superman, because there’s no need. Superman, known as the first widely recognized superhero, is indeed the origin of everything. With his godlike strength and stubborn sense of justice, this Kryptonian survivor is an absolute symbol of heroism. But there’s an alternate universe where he killed a lot of people in that suit. Maybe your sim can handle it better…. Well, we can’t be perfect, can we?
12. Iron Man and Spider-Man set
Check out this AC. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has created many memorable ships (Rocket and Groot, anyone?). But none is more endearing than the father-son duo of Tony Stark and Peter Parker. We discovered their fascinating chemistry in the movie Spider-Man: Homecoming, and everyone thought this ship would sail forever. But – note – not everyone has a happy ending when it comes to fighting an alien that destroys 50% of all life. Still, Iron Man and Spider-Man were great together while it lasted. And your Sims can continue the legacy by purchasing this MCU-inspired CC set from AmiSwift.
13. Marvel’s X-Men
Check out this AC. The X-Men have a long, long history. For example, since 1963. They have a good (sometimes controversial) comic book release, but apparently a certain studio is having trouble bringing them to the big screen. Many people have developed a love-hate relationship with the X-Men movies – but despite the continued release of bad adaptations, fans still hope that the director will get it right one day. But you can still relive the glory of the mutants by dressing up as Jean Grey, Gambit, Storm, Cyclops and more with this CC set!
14. The Amazing Family Affair
Check out this AC. Don’t settle for just one assistant, because with this CC set you can have a whole family of supermen! Gather the entire Sim family here to fight bad guys and nosy neighbors-or just attend a local comic book convention. Either way, this set is sure to have the perfect super costume for every member of your Sim’s family.
15. Armageddon Mod
Check out this AC. There are always two sides to a coin, and this epic mod from Sacrificial is no exception. You have two choices here: Become a superhero or a villain. If you choose to be a hero, you can give your Sim the traits of a superhero and get him or her involved in saving other Sims who seem to go up in flames out of nowhere. If you choose to be a Villain, your Sim gains supernatural powers and special assignments that make wreaking havoc and corruption a whole new pastime. The power is truly in your hands, and no matter what you choose, the Sims will continue to burn.In recent years, the cost of costumes and accessories has skyrocketed, even more so than the price of traditionally-styled clothing. This is largely due to the increase of costumes for stage shows and movies as well as the rise of cosplay. The increase in cost has led to an increase in the amount of people using online shopping sites such as Amazon.com and eBay.com to purchase their costumes and accessories..
