Sea of Thieves A Pirate’s Life Tall Tale Guide Skip to the chase. Sea of Thieves is a game about pirates, not a pirate game. A game about pirates that requires you to explore the seas and interact with other players. A game about pirates that has you explore the world and discover its mysteries. A game about pirates that has you sail the seas and fight with other players. A game about pirates that has you do the things a pirate does. And it’s pretty fun, too.
The developers of Sea of Thieves have been hard at work creating a pirate life for all. While they’re still trying to perfect the game, fans have been trying to find their way through the island. Here is an atlas to help get you there!

Our Sea of Thieves A Pirate’s Life Tall Tale guide contains everything you need to know to play A Pirate’s Life Tall Tale in-game.
How do you begin the story of pirate life in Sea of Thieves?
To start a new Life of a Pirate story, go to any outpost after appearing in the game and head to a new location called Castanet Camp. A chestnut camp is located in every outpost of the Sea of Thieves map. There you can talk to a new NPC who will tell you everything about the new quest. Then go to his back and pick up the first story called Life of a Pirate. To start the story, you have to vote here. Once that’s done, talk to Castaway again to begin your quest.
The tunnel of the damned
The castaway opens a portal to the Tunnel of the Damned, marked by a giant green light shot into the air near the outpost. Every outpost has an outpost, so no matter where you start this story, it will be the same everywhere. Navigate through the green portal, check out the new scene, and when you regain control of the ship, you can swim to the shore just ahead. It will be a new island.
The statue of the Wraith
After you docked the boat, jump off and run onto the island. Keep walking until you reach the Wraith statue at the beginning of the cave. This is a save point, so you can save your progress in the Tall Valley every time you encounter these statues. You can start saving your game here.
The Dead Man’s Cave
After saving the game, you can enter the cave, where a riddle awaits you. This area is known as the Dead Man’s Cave, and inside you have to solve some simple puzzles. Move forward a bit and you will encounter a green flame in front of you in the fire. You can save this green flame, which is called the flame of souls, in your lantern by lighting it in a trial.
Remember that the Flame of Souls is important to this quest and you must use it to access different parts of the story. You can find lanterns in different places, for example. B. in broken boats and the various skeletons that keep them afloat. Don’t forget to turn it on. Then look at the scene and go up the spiral to the closed door. The lever needed to open this door is broken, and you need to find it to unlock the door and move on. To do this, go back down and look for the waterfall. Go to the waterfall and look for the paddle griffin, which the Skelett has griffed out. It is on the right after crossing the waterfall. Take this paddle handle, go back to the closed door and use it to secure the door handle.
Keep going and you will have to jump over platforms and precipices. Go forward and lower the makeshift drawbridge. Cross the bridge and use the lever to lower the platform to continue. At the end of this corridor there is another lantern, which you also have to light. There is also a lantern in front of the bridge, so make sure you turn both on to summon the ghost ship. This will take you to the next part of the scale.
It will precede another spiral and cross a section with a platform. Use the ladder in front of her to reach the platform on the right side of the area, and grab the sword from the weapon chest in front of her. There’s a rope attached next to the gun safe. Cut it with your sword to lower the platform.
Swing the pole back and forth with the front pulley and get enough momentum to jump to the other side of the platform. In front of you is another rope, cut that too to get to another platform. Once you reach the river, roll down and you’re in the next part of the story.
The grave of a sailor
At the bottom, turn right and you’ll come to a town called Sailor’s Grave. Go through the door and up the stairs to the left. Light the fireplace and explore the ghost town at your own pace. After you complete your quest, find the talking skull and free it from the hanging cage. You can cut the rope at the top by climbing the wooden poles. The cage lies between two large shipwrecks. There is also a green lamp next to it.
Now you must go to the back of the ship. To do this, use the stairs on the left and go around them to get to the back. Use the makeshift bridge to cross the gorge and continue until you fall into the water pool. Swim through the water to reach the cave where you can activate the elevator. Use it to pull yourself up, then use the next one to lower another platform. Use the ladder to climb up on the right side, then use the pulley to move the other platform.
This will give you two platforms to jump on, but make sure you get them in the right position to jump over. To free the cage, you can use your sword to cut through the rope holding it down. This releases the cage in which the cursed captain is trapped and he falls. The cage needs a key. Go to the other wreck and chase it. Find the tavern and go up the slope to find the pulley on your left.
Interact with him and he will lower the candlestick with the key and the skeleton. Just get the key and get back in the cage. Use the key to open the cage, and now you have a cursed captain to keep you company. Now you must go to the lighthouse. Go up the stairs after seeing the cursed captain scold the other ghosts and apply the skill to the headless skeleton sitting at the top. Then you must attract the attention of the smuggler. Go up the stairs and use the lantern to light the lamp. Once the light is activated, you can use the two wheels to control the light and flash the torches in the distance to attract the attention of the smuggler.
Go back and take the cursed captain and the key to his quarters to the dock. Enter the Golden Hare, a ship with red sails, and use the skeleton head on the door to open it. Go up the stairs, then place his head on his original body in the captain’s room. After you have the key to the cabin, jump in the boat and go to the Ferry of the Damned. There’s no other way to do it.
The rescue of Captain Jack Sparrow
You can take a boat to the Ferry of the Damned and get on the ferry, right behind the ferryman. Go to the center and light the Fountain of Destiny in the middle of the Ferry of the Damned with the Flame of Souls. This causes a huge explosion and gives you access to the middle deck of the ferry. From there, go down the stairs and light all the lanterns to open all the doors. Some are in sarcophagi, so you have to move the lids to find the lanterns inside.
Follow the path and you will come to Captain Jack Sparrow. The dog next door has the keys, take them and save the captain. Follow Captain Jack Sparrow to the upper deck and see a small scene where the Flying Dutchman appears. This will trigger a battle between the two ships, and you can use the cannons to fight against the Flying Dutchman. Once the Flying Dutchman sails forward, it sends back ocean vines to fight against you, so you’ll have to leave the guns behind and switch to traditional weapons.
Make sure you get your supplies from the resource boxes under the deck. There’s more ammunition, nukes and food for you. Even if you die, you’re already on the Ferry of the Damned, so you have no other choice. They’re arriving at the ferry. Keep fighting until the fight is over and then watch the scene. When it’s over, just walk through the door of the Ferry of the Damned and your first story is over.
