So you’re about to pick up your next Pokémon game. You’re getting nostalgic for the good ol’ days when there were only 151 Pokémon to choose from. When do you think the developers at Game Freak started to realize that they had too many Pokémon? Before they just added a few more? After they added a few more? Here’s a look at 20 Pokémon that we’d really love to see made into their very own baby forms.
It’s no secret that a lot of Pokémon are under-represented in Pokémon Go. Some of the most adorable Pokémon are in need of a little something extra.
I can’t say I’m surprised, but it looks like Pokémon Go is slowing down the development of the upcoming Pokémon Sun and Moon games. In a new interview with WSJ, the head of Pokémon Sun and Moon, Shigeru Ohmori, said that the two games are “about half-way done” and that he’s “concerned” about the game’s launch. “It’s going to happen, but it’s not going to happen like I thought it would,” he said. “It’s a good thing, in retrospect.”
One of the most influential and interesting mechanics introduced in the second generation is reproduction.Not only did it give you the ability to create the perfect fighting machine, but it also gave you access to new Pokémon with their baby forms.
Munchlax, Pichu and Vinaut have captured the hearts of fans around the world – and have become incredibly popular thanks to their cute looks!
But there are Pokémon that can really benefit from the baby form, just as others can benefit from the regional variant or a different evolutionary stage.
Whether it’s an answer to a species question or just a cute design, here are some Pokémon (in my opinion) that truly deserve kid-friendly forms.
20. Stonjourner
Where does Stonehenge come from?
This is a question that historians have been trying to answer for decades.
And frankly, I wonder exactly the same thing about Stonjourner.
There is still no real explanation for the origins of the Stone Age. But since it is based on a large monument carved thousands of years ago, I wanted to give the childlike form its own direction:
Make him bigger than the Stonemason.
All statues start with a large stone slab. And that’s literally what I think a child’s uniform should be.
Make it a little bigger and heavier, with the same statistic distribution as Shackle. This could be an interesting choice that would resurrect the Stonejournaler from relative obscurity.
19. Carnivores
I’ll be honest, I don’t really like Carnivine.
He looks like a fake Victribel, who is only remembered because he was in the anime.
It is a grassy base type with a large head without a head.
But I can’t help imagining the giant head of this thing on a tiny body. For some reason, I find that ridiculous.
You don’t need anything else. I want to see a baby carnivore with a tiny body and a hugely ridiculous head.
18. Pinsier
There are a number of Beetle-type Pokémon that can use a baby form to explain how they reached human size.
But since he’s always been overshadowed by Scyther and Heracross, I feel like Pinsir might be the most favored in this situation.
If you want to make baby costumes for Pinsier, you can go two ways.
First, reduce the size of the Pinsier.
Or two: Make this dish in the shape of a beetle.
They are plump worms that are, quite frankly, disgusting.
But it could get interesting! Look, these maggots are actually…
You know what? Don’t mind me. It’s really disgusting.
Just make it smaller than Pinsier. I’m sure everyone would be happy with that.
17. Tropius
I love dinosaurs, and one of my favorite categories is sauropods. They are large herbivorous dinosaurs with extremely long necks.
When I first saw Tropius, I immediately saw the resemblance – and wanted to see what else had happened to him.
Not much, I’m afraid.
This is why I think Tropius needs a baby uniform!
Imagine how cute this would be: a smaller version with plantains instead of bananas.
And we already know he’ll be adorable, thanks to Littlefoot from The Earth Before Time.
16. Audino
Chancey got a lot of evolutionary love from Blissie and Happini.
His counterpart Audino in the 5th. However, the generation did not receive the same respect.
It’s mega-developed, but it’s not as good as Blissey.
So why not choose a baby shape?
Audino is already cute thanks to her Lolita fashion base.
I recommend you focus more on this point!
Make it a little fluffier and even give it a nice umbrella. I think that would be very impressive.
15. Tauros/Miltank
Starting with gold and silver, tauros and miltank were paired together.
They have the same fundamental values and are just a man and a woman respectively.
But Tauros is an adult bull and Miltank is a cow.
What does her baby look like?
I think it’s a combination of both, with more exaggerated traits depending on the gender.
For example, males may be slightly hairier and have three tails, while females are more pink and have only one tail.
This allows Tauros and Miltank to develop instead of being born as a big bull.
14. Duraludon
Based on the tallest building in the UK (The Shard), Duraludon is one of the coolest new Pokémon in the Sword and Shield games.
But, as with the Stonemason, his existence raises questions.
Did this Pokemon really just start to exist as a building? How did she become like this?
I would love to see a smaller, unarmored version of Duraludon. Something that is quite vulnerable to intruders in the wild.
But when he moves to a big city, he can turn into a giant dragon.
Although I have to say that’s a bit of an exaggeration. Not the best idea, but I’d love to see a baby shape for Duraludon.
13. Giraffe
Okay, time to jump back on the big head train!
Only this time, it’s also a big dick.
Giraffe is a Pokémon with two heads: the normal one, seen on the front, and the creepy black one on the back.
For his baby shape, I’d be interested in making him smaller overall. But that scary head always stays the same size and takes over the whole body.
He’ll still evolve as he levels up, but he’ll essentially grow big and mature enough to command a more beastly head.
What should we call it? The giraffe, of course.
12. cryogenic
Cryogonal is another evolutionless Pokémon that has faded from the public consciousness over the years.
And I think giving a baby shape is the best way to change that.
At first I had no idea what I could do with it except reduce the size of the snowflake.
But then I did some research on the world’s most evil ice crystal. It is inspired by both snowflakes and a glass mirror.
So my idea is to make it a compact mirror.
It would give him a kind of shell to hide his face.
It can open and close with the same chains it uses to hunt its prey when it evolves into Cryogonal! This would be a great way to honor both sides of the Cryogonal design.
11. Aerodactyl
While not the strongest of all the Fossil Pokémon, Aerodactyl is my favorite.
It’s a formidable predator, nearly a metre high.
Unfortunately, we never get to see what a baby form looks like, because we bring it back to life from old amber.
But that’s what this list is for.
I would love to see a baby aerodactyl chick.
If you turn it into a smaller version of Aerodactyl with wings too small to fly, you get the perfect story of a slow Pokémon becoming one of the strongest in the game.
And who knows, maybe he’s also weighed down by a head that’s a little too big for his body.
Okay, I promise this is the last time I give a Pokemon an oversized head.
10. Rumble/Saw
Throh and Sawk are essentially fifth-generation variants of Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee, as an entirely new Pokédex was created for Unova.
And I think they could benefit from having a baby Pokémon like their generation 1 partners.
Instead of relying on statistics, I think you could do it in a similar way to Kubfu.
Because Tro and Sok mean Judo and Kyokushinkai respectively.
His name will be Cudan. And depending on the techniques you want to teach him (throws and punches), he will develop into appropriate forms.
Or you can train it to your liking and turn it into a brand-new Pokémon! It opens up a lot of possibilities, and I think it would be a great addition to the franchise.
9. Furfru
Furfru is a fun Pokémon with a cool twist: You can style it and change its appearance.
The concept was fun, but not fun enough.
This means there is only one solution: to make a baby.
In fact, it will be the exact same Pokémon, but it will only be 4 inches tall.
You can even use the same technique as Furfru. But imagine this with a dwarf poodle, not a regular poodle. Fans would be furious about that.
8. Absolutely
Absol has one of my favorite designs in all of Pokémon.
The black and white color scheme with a yin-yang crescent is the epitome of cool.
But nobody starts cool.
At some point, everyone goes through an embarrassing phase.
And I think it would be wonderful if we saw Absol.
Basically, I want to make a tougher Absol. More fur, especially with bangs over the eyes.
Really, I want to see Absol when they were in the nu-metal phase: Jnco jeans and everything else.
7. Tanghela
Generations 2 through 4 contain many new baby Pokémon and evolutions of older Pokémon that previously existed without an evolutionary line.
For example, Magmar got Magbi and Magmortar.
But just as Lynx was skipped for evolution, Tangela skips pre-evolution.
It doesn’t even have to be anything crazy.
You can keep the same shoes, but give her body a twist. You can call it tangular!
Tangela with a single tendril. Fascinating.
6. Lapras
Lapras has been one of the most popular Pokémon since the first games came out.
It’s one of the most beautiful Pokémon of all time, and at over two feet tall, it’s pretty big.
But were they born this big?
Think about the size of a 5-foot long egg.
Honestly, you have to see a Pokemon baby to not feel sorry for all those poor Lapra moms.
Imagine a small light blue lapras that uses eggshells to protect its back because its normal shell is not yet fully developed.
Besides, can you think of a better Pokémon for parenting? This must be done as soon as possible!
5. Oranguru/Passimus
Oranguru and Passimian are two sides of the same coin.
One is slow and very smart, the other is fast and incredibly athletic.
Although they do not technically belong to the same group, they are technically related in that they are opposite version exclusives.
So why not connect them even more? Presentation: Intermediate!
They are primates who are at a point in their lives where they have to decide where to go.
When they are trained more for physical performance, they become passive.
When they are more vulnerable to special attacks and defenses, they become Oranguru.
I honestly think it would be a lot of fun.
4. Scarmoria
Skarmory has had serious competition from Corviknight lately.
It is also made of steel and represents the final form of a three-stage evolution.
This begs the question: Why doesn’t Scarmori have a kid’s uniform?
The best part is that there is already information about Scarmory’s child. Several Pokédexes say that the wings of Scarmorie chicks become stiff because they nest in thorny bushes.
Why can’t I see these chicks and raise them?
They can level up by holding the Sticky Barba.
All the tools are there!
3. Mimicue
Mimiku has one of the most tragic stories of all the Pokémon. His usual appearance is so terrifying that anyone who sees him dies.
So, in his baby form, I’d like to see him.
I don’t think Game Freak should make a Pokemon so terrifying that it kills players. But I have an idea about how they can achieve the same effect.
There is a move called Song of Destiny that causes all Pokémon on the field at the time of the move to pass out for 3 turns.
I think Mimikyu (get it? Mini Mimikyu!) should have an ability that triggers the same effect when it enters the field.
Is it broken? It is possible.
But I think it’s a good way to integrate the Pokédex into the game.
2. Kangaskhan
They all knew Kangaskhan would be on that list.
There are countless jokes about how to get a Kenghas-Khan egg, and when it comes out, it will be a Kenghas-Khan with a baby inside.
Is that another Pokémon? Or is he somehow connected to Kangaskhan?
We know that’s not true.
We’ve already seen this mini summoner in action in Kangas Khan’s Mega Evolution.
So why not make it your own Pokemon?
Over the years, he has more than earned the right to be one.
Fans have been asking for it since the original games, and Game Freak should definitely include it in the game.
However, there is another possibility that worries me even more: …..
1. Havlucha
Anyone will tell you that not all wrestlers start their career at the highest level.
They start as amateurs and replace the big stars of the moment.
And I would like to see where Havlucha began.
The design can be simple:
