Welcome to a new edition of PS Weekly! To start the campaign, Best Buy is currently running an online promotion for PS5 supplies. The website has had a hard time since the product went online three hours ago, but the stores are not full yet. It seems that many people have given up trying, but with a little patience and determination you can still achieve success online. I have a friend who just made an online purchase after almost 4 hours of trying. I have two other friends who have a ps5 in their shopping cart while I’m writing this (!:00pm est) and are struggling with the whole order error, but I hope they are able to complete the purchase. Good luck catching one.
Speaking of PS5 orders, it seems that eBay has already reached more than 33,000 PS5 scalpers sold throughout the month of November! That said, these decoders are sold in different price ranges, but according to Michael Driscoll (data engineer, note), the math has been done and the profit between them have exceeded $19 million. This is a profit, which does not include the original purchase price of PS5 before sale. What a world we live in. Those sales were also in the United States, so who knows how many of them were actually scaled up around the world? It is to be hoped that this situation will be brought under control as soon as possible and that those who so wish will no longer have to worry.
In the game news Cyberpunk 2077 is now at a critical point. As you may have heard, the game was released last week on the PC and the console, followed by True. Before the release of the game, CD Projekt Red did not allow anyone to see how the game works on the latest generation of consoles. We’ve seen it work on PS5 and PC, but we’ve just discovered that the game works surprisingly well on the latest generation. Although I think the game doesn’t seem to work as well on the original PS4 and Xbox One consoles, it’s full of bugs, glitches and bad graphics on the latest generation. Although the game does not have the current version of the PS5, the power of the PS5 does indicate what the experience of the PS4 should be. CD Projekt Red has apologized and offers a refund for the game. Sony would have refused such a refund, but this is probably because the players play a lot of hours and Sony tried to respect the limit of 2 hours for the game if it is a digital copy. We’ll see how it all turns out over time, but sooner or later it will be fine again.
To top it all off, a few days ago the game was awarded the Game of the Year award and to no one’s surprise The Last Of Us Part II won the Game of the Year award. Some people think it’s inappropriate to give a prize for this game, but most of us don’t care who won, we just want to see the ads! The show wasn’t very good, but that’s probably because of the global pandemic, but we did hear that there were a few games coming that weren’t planned. Evil is dead: The game has been announced and for every long time fan of the film franchise, get excited! Maybe a normal game will come out! I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to drop the chainsaw in my old right hand and swing my faithful stick into the other!
At the Game Awards it was announced that Back 4 Blood is not only the sequel to Left 4 Dead, an exclusive Xbox, but that it is also coming to PS5! I don’t know about you, but I’ve really enjoyed Left 4 Dead in the past, and I’m looking forward to the release of Back 4 Blood. Closed alpha starts soon, on the 17th. December, but it’s limited to PC users on Steam, so I don’t participate. It’s too bad, but I’d like to try it on.
We had a brief glimpse of Dragon Age 4, but it really was just a glimpse to remind us of the game’s existence. I honestly forgot that it was in development, and it probably will be until we have really concrete information, but anyway, Ark 2 has been announced, and there is nothing on it but Vin Diesel. He looks pretty primitive in the promo trailer, and frankly, it’s a bit like the costumes. Anyway, rejoice, fans of l’Arche, your sequel is on its way!
There was more, but if you really want to make up for lost time, you can easily watch The Game Awards on YouTube. It’s the end of a very difficult year all over the world, so the news has probably been a bit slow, but that can’t be a bad thing. No news is good news, and most of the news we share here is pretty good! Have a good week and thanks for taking a few minutes to read our work! As always, see you online!
