Asus has announced three new products designed to take advantage of the new OLED screen technology. The ZenScreen OLED is the world’s first 13-inch OLED portable monitor, with an impressive display resolution of 2560×1440. The ZenScreen OLED is expected to be available in Q4 of this year.
The world of gaming has seen a major change in recent years. With the introduction of LCD displays, the initial leap to high-definition gaming has been taken, and now with the widespread adoption of 4K gaming it seems like the next logical step is to go beyond the traditional 1080p resolution. ASUS has taken the plunge to develop both a 13-inch 4K portable monitor and a 32-inch 4K monitor for PC gamers.
ASUS recently announced their new line of monitors, including the ZenScreen OLED, World’s First 13-Inch OLED Portable Monitor, and the 32-Inch 4K ProArt Display OLED PA32DC. The ZenScreen OLED is a portable, 13-inch portable OLED monitor with a resolution of 3840x 2160, 144Hz refresh rate, and a maximum brightness of 600cd/m2. The ZenScreen OLED’s Haswell-based UHD IPS panel supports AMD FreeSync, which makes the screen ideal for gaming, as the panel supports the panel’s high refresh rate and high brightness. The ZenScreen OLED supports ASUS’ proprietary Splendid Video Intelligence technology, which optimizes video performance by enhancing video colors, brightness, contrast

During its “Create the Uncreated” online launch event today, ASUS unveiled a slew of intriguing new items that make use of OLED technology. The OLED ZenScreen and PA32DC ProArt Display OLED, both of which are poised to provide outstanding picture quality, are two of the standouts.
ZenScreen OLED
The ZenScreen OLED is the first 13-inch OLED portable monitor in the world. Because the bulk of portable monitors on the market today are restricted to IPS panels with low contrast ratios, this is a big issue for consumers seeking for a high-quality display in a much smaller package. Backlight leakage seems to be a problem on many of them, but not on the ZenScreen OLED.
ASUS’ ZenScreen OLED, which comes in 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch sizes, has a 1920 x 1080 resolution and infinite contrast for genuine blacks to bring out the most in HDR content. It also supports 10-bit colors and 100 percent DCI-P3 color space coverage.
The ZenScreen OLED will connect to laptops and other devices through one of its three USB Type-C connections or a Mini-HDMI port. When the display is not in use, an integrated proximity sensor dims it to conserve energy and prevent picture burn-in.

The display’s slim and light design, as well as the Smart Case’s versatility, making it an ideal travel companion. Because it weighs less than 500g, the 13.3″ model is particularly simple to slip into a bag. The ASUS Smart Case not only covers the display, but also acts as an adjustable stand that can be adjusted at any time. The ZenScreen OLED features a threaded connection that can be used with any regular tripod for even more versatility. When the display is not in use, an integrated Proximity Sensor dims it to conserve power and minimize the risk of picture retention.
ProArt Display OLED PA32DC
The ProArt Display PA32DC, a 32-inch 4K OLED display targeted for artists and other professionals that need exceptionally high color fidelity, complements the ZenScreen OLED. Instead of using an RGBW or PenTile sub-pixel array, the display utilizes an RGB sub-pixel layout, which results in crisper pictures and text.
ASUS’ ProArt Display OLED PA32DC features a built-in auto-calibration tool to guarantee correct color reproduction, in addition to VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black certification. This is the first OLED display with a tool like this.

OLED panels are known for their excellent color reproduction, and the ProArt Display OLED PA32DC is a shining example of what the tech can provide to even the most demanding of creators. It has genuine 10-bit color and covers 99 percent of the DCI-P3 color spectrum, which is cinema-quality. ASUS Smart HDR technology guarantees compatibility with a growing number of HDR-enabled games as well as current streaming video providers. The PA32DC supports various HDR metadata formats, allowing you to preview material on a variety of target screens before sending it out for final delivery.
