Ever since Logitech introduced its Lightspeed wireless technology a few years ago, the company has had a clear recipe for success: Take one of the most popular wired products and add it to Lightspeed wireless technology. He has worked with the G502, he has worked with the G915, and of course he has worked with the G Pro X.
Although the headphones have excellent sound quality, the real star of the show is the blue microphone. The introduction of Blue Microphone technology into Logitech headsets has resulted in some of the clearest, most customizable, highest quality microphones on the market. Surprisingly close to the performance and quality you get with high-end stand-alone microphones. Ideal for players who have spent a lot of time at odds with their friends or who participate in competitive games where communication is of the utmost importance.
And last but not least: The G Pro X is incredibly comfortable, despite its slightly more compact design than most other helmets. The aluminium fork and stainless steel headband, with amber padding and cushioning, combine perfectly to create a high-quality and incredibly comfortable helmet.
Logitech broke the record with its G Pro X wireless headset and offered a much higher price point than most wireless headsets in the $200 area.
Logitech G Pro X –Masterclass for design
Logitech has always been known for creating the most ergonomic mice and keyboards. Before the release of the G Pro X, however, they always had problems achieving the same level of perfection with their helmets. Unlike previous Logitech helmets, which were typically large and clumsy or small and uncomfortable, this helmet is a true masterpiece of design.
The close-fitting steel headband ensures that the headset rests firmly on the ears, while the memory foam padding ensures that the headset will last for many hours.
But G Pro X Wireless isn’t just practical. It also has an incredibly professional and clean appearance, characterized by its quality and performance. In contrast to most other game helmets, its slim appearance makes it the type of helmet you can wear comfortably on the bus or while walking without having to look away completely. Unplug the microphone and you have excellent headphones for out-of-game use, such as listening to music on the go or watching movies on the train.
All these attributes of the ring are the same as those of the standard wired G Pro X, but the absence of cables offers more comfort and gives you much more freedom, both in the game and on the road.
Performance – Wireless Communications
Until a few years ago, wireless gaming equipment was synonymous with poor performance, connection problems and terrible value for money. While prices have remained the same, technology has increased exponentially in recent years and Logitech Lightspeed is one of the best examples of this leap.
The 2.4 GHz light connection ensures stable and delay-free operation, so that both every bit and the wired version can be processed. The 50mm Mesh PRO-G 50mm Hybrid Mesh drivers deliver clear, high-quality sound and excellent directional response. It’s a star option for casual players and game fans.
While some wireless headsets have a million different features, such as virtual surround sound, LED backlighting, and vibration, Logitech has gone the smart way with these headsets. The sound quality is excellent, but it’s not full of features that can reduce battery life and wireless efficiency. This means G Pro X Wireless is a great plug-and-play option with up to 20 hours of battery life without connection problems.
Best microphone in its class
Nowhere is the success of purchasing a Logitech Blue microphone clearer than with the G Pro X headset. The microphone operates at a level few headphone microphones and even some offline options can compete with. It makes the user’s sound clear and professional and comes with a number of G-Hub software features for additional configuration. These settings allow you to change everything on your microphone’s voice output and set great presets for different types of games. These include presets for a soft, radio-like voice, a more accurate sound for competitive games, an option for streamers and YouTubers, and the list goes on.
All these settings are excellent, but keep in mind that the standard settings and the quality of the microphone without adjustments are phenomenal. It’s perfect for players who need a simple plug-and-play option, but also for more geeky players who want to customize everything.
Last thoughts are cool, but cost more
In 2019, I said the G Pro X was my favorite Logitech headset, and I wasn’t lying. These are exceptional headphones with an incredibly comfortable design, durable construction and high sound performance.
My only major criticism of the helmet was that the threads became entangled over time. Well, guess what, the wireless version doesn’t have that problem, and although the price is a bit exaggerated compared to the standard version, I’d say your money is well spent.
The Logitech G Pro X Wireless is everything I hoped for, and if you want to take advantage of wireless technology for free, this is one of the best headsets you can do it with. I recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality wireless option that can serve them for years to come.
