With his League of Legends account being banned and banned again, Dr. Mundo has finally been given a new skin in LoL. A new doctor skin for Dr. Mundo that looks as though he’s going to do his rounds; it’s a cool design, and I think it should be a nice addition to his character!
Riot Games announced today that Dr. Mundo, the League of Legends champion, will be getting a visual update. As players have been following his story through the League of Legends story, they have gotten a glimpse of his life as a hunter in the Great Barrier. He is now getting his own in-game story. In addition, Dr. Mundo will be getting his first gameplay update with the upcoming patch.
How do you feel about Dr. Mundo? You should feel bad about Dr. Mundo. Not because he’s a top tier adc, but because he’s getting a visual update. This is his first ever visual change. He’s getting a new model and wielding a new weapon. The new weapon is the Spirit of the Ancient Golem, which is the pet of the beautiful and talented Miss Fortune.
Dr. DerMundo has been part of the League of Legends lineup since the MOBA’s launch in 2009, acting as a regeneration tank. As the game has evolved greatly over the years and features many new champions, developer Riot Games is giving Mad Fence a visual and gameplay update in the upcoming 11.12 patch. Although his skills, appearance and story will undergo changes, Doctor Mundo’s theme and playstyle will remain familiar after the release of LoL Patch 11.12. However, players can expect a slightly different variation on his regeneration-focused playstyle. It’s the utterly insane, tragically murderous, and terribly purple Dr. Mundo who keeps many of the fence dwellers home on particularly dark nights. He is now a self-appointed doctor, but was once a patient of the notorious Zaun mental asylum. The updated Doctor Mundo story reads as follows. After curing all the staff, Dr. Mundo set up his practice in the empty rooms where he himself had been treated, and began to mimic the highly unethical procedures that he himself had experienced so often. With a cabinet full of drugs and no medical knowledge, he makes himself more monstrous with each injection and scares the hell out of the unhappy patients who come into his office. Dr. Mundo’s gameplay update brings significant changes to his passive ability. Renamed from Adrenaline Rush to Go Wherever It Wants, it provides increased health regeneration based on maximum health and allows it to withstand the next immobilizing effect applied to it. He loses his health, but also drops a can of chemicals in the area. Picking up a can by stepping on it restores some of your max health and reduces passive action time. Enemies can destroy the bus by moving on it. Infected Cleaver, his Q ability, is largely unchanged, but has lost the part that allows Mundo to regenerate his health when he hits. His W-force, which was previously called Searing Agony, is now called Heartslayer. When used, Mundo electrocutes himself for a few seconds, inflicting permanent magical damage on nearby enemies. Some of the damage he takes is also stored as grey health. When this skill expires, Dr. Mundo focuses a barrage of magical damage on nearby enemies and regenerates his gray health when he hits an enemy. The amount of healing is reduced if Mundo fails to hit the champion, and the skill can be used again to finish him off prematurely. Madman Zaun’s skill E, formerly known as Masochism, will be renamed Blunt Injury when the gameplay and graphics update is released along with patch 11.12 for League of Legends. His passive component gives Dr. Mundo a bonus attack damage, which increases with his lack of health. His active component causes Mundo to hit an opponent with his medicine pouch, inflicting physical damage based on their lack of health. When an enemy dies, it is pushed back and does minimal damage to other enemies it crosses. It also no longer increases resistance to magic. The maximum dose, Mundo’s new ultimatum, causes him to stuff himself with chemicals, instantly restoring his missing percentage of health. He then regains a portion of his maximum health for an extended period of time, and gains bonuses to movement speed and attack damage as he regains more health. Additionally, players will be able to trade legacy champion skins in LoL patches 11.12 and 11.13, while other players will receive their own set of updates. Here are their prices:
