Patch 5.4 brings normal and extreme versions of the Emerald combat weapons from Final Fantasy VII, which have been modified and improved for Final Fantasy XIV. After the opening of Castrum Marinum to Duty Finder you will be introduced to Emerald Weapon in this dynamic process.
We will break down the mechanics of each battle one by one using texts and screenshots. Our character in the screenshots is the main line of an Sagittarius, but we will certainly explain the mechanics of all the roles: Healers, tanks and DPS. With a little practice and training you’ll be well on your way to cleaning the normal version of the Castrum Marinum Emerald Weapon.
First phase: Fun sounds and magnets

Emerald shot: A heavy tank hunter on the main target. This happens at the very beginning, so make sure you use safety refrigerators just before or after taking the boss out. Healers can be pre-selected for extra flexibility.
Emerald Ray: Attack on the rotating cone of the boss’s front and back. Stay away from the cones, follow them as they pull and turn them clockwise or counterclockwise. Like a merry-go-round you want to keep this rhythm while avoiding the AoEs point in the centre.

Magnetism-Magitech: Three bombs multiply in established formations. The two will stand next to each other with more orange signs over their heads, and the third will spawn somewhere nearby. These plus signs indicate the direction of the bombs after a while. Magnetism must remember the rules: it likes to repel, opposites are attracted. These shields are the same or similar, so the bombs repel each other and create a safe place where our gunner is now in white.

Optimized Ultima : Heavy robbery across the airspace. Preventive protection and healing.
Get out of the way: Large 180 degrees AoE over half the field. Go to the other side to take evasive action.

(wrinkle effect) : This blue AoE circle will appear in the background, right after the side cathedral. Stand next to the circle and position yourself so that your character returns to the other side of the arena. You can also use the Surecast or Arm Length skill to avoid the effect.

The next emerald beam follows the same carousel logic as the first. However, when it’s over, this second bar will collapse part of the outer platform, leaving less space for you to work.
Soon several gloved hands will multiply around the emerald shape of the weapon. If that happens, go straight to the boss’ hit box. The AoE Quick Doughnut spawns even without a litter indicator. If you have piles of vulnerabilities due to the failure of previous mechanisms, this doughnut-shaped attack is likely to kill you.

Divide the empire: Another heavy tank booster on the main target. Main tanks, use your defense refrigerators. Healers under the shield and recover. The rest of the page should be staggered to prevent the AoE from tapering around the pattern.
Pulsed laser : Line attacks are randomly aimed at players. Avoid doing a number in a row.
During the next catapult on the side, several light balls will spawn on one side of the platform. They move steadily towards the centre of the field and then pull back in the opposite direction. If you hit balls, they explode and cause damage by placing a weak spot on the pile. To avoid unnecessary movement, stand next to the free half of the approaching tents and leave as they pass you. But you can also try to place yourself between the lanes if necessary.

When the balls disappear, a blue AoE circle reappears on the playing field. Deal with it, just like before.
This mechanism is repeated until you bring your boss’s health back to 0.1%.
Second phase: Arrows, swords and soldiers

After the reduction, phase two begins. If your game is deleted from now on, you can start this phase again from the beginning, without having to repeat the first phase of the fight. If you have to restart here, make sure not everyone runs to the burning walls to die. Make sure the boss has struck at least once to save his progress.
Divide the empire: Treat each other like you used to. Tank booster and cone.
Primus Terminus East : Blue arrow telegrams will multiply between three players. At the same time, three dangerous AoE circles will appear on one side of the arena. Marked players must go to the same wall (without touching the flames of fire and blue death) so that the arrow points to the opposite wall. You should also keep your trajectory away from these AoE circles if you shoot in the direction you shoot. Be careful not to meet any other unmarked players.

Secundus Terminus East: Blue crosses or plus points appear among the players. When you apply these signs, you determine how and where the dangerous BvB species reproduce. If possible, place crosses on the ground in a north, south, west or east cardinal position. Place markers more to the northwest or northeast or southwest or southeast of the inter-cardiacal positions. If everyone does it right, these positions create a wide and safe space in the middle, safe from the risk of explosion.

Tertius Terminus East: Three pairs of AOE swords will fall in a row. Wait until the third AoE falls and then go to where the tower was a temporary safe zone. Before the first and second explosion, move to the safety zones they form just before the explosion of the previous zone. Below you can see how we wait for the explosion of the third AsE cycle before moving to a temporarily safe place.

Legio Phantasmatis: The emerald weapon will leave the battlefield and the Black Wolf copy will take its place. The main tank must be ready to receive the additive and then pull at the north wall. The line of the imperial soldiers will move in formation along this wall. They will fire under the command of Black Wolf Image, creating three sets of AoE firing lines, with a safety strip running between them. Whatever the line, a soldier is right at the front: It’s your first safe place.

Soldiers disappear one by one and shoot one after the other. Switch the other rows where a soldier on the front has gone missing. You’ll have to take care of it while you burn the winning bid. For the screenshot above, the road on the left will be the next safe place, as there are not enough soldiers in the middle to form the front for the second line of fire. Our current road will be safe again for the third line of fire because there will be no more soldiers shooting at us. This sequence is repeated along the other wall before the addition disappears and the emerald weapon returns to the battlefield.
There is no error timer like the DPS control in normal mode, so do your best to stay alive and keep up. All mechanics rehearse until you beat the boss.
