How to defeat mites in fusion
The fight against this boss takes place in three stages, which also indicates that the boss has a three-part health bar. As you use up each bar, the boss reappears, stronger than before and with several new attacks to overwhelm you. Here you need to know exactly what to do and how to attack this giant fire spider.
If you want to learn the attack patterns, you can sacrifice a few lives to understand how a boss fight works, but nothing is too hard to learn in a few minutes. The Molten Acari will unleash a few attacks on you that will spin during the first phase of the fight. One of these attacks is a melee attack when in range. Your strategy here is to stay at a medium distance from the boss to get a decent damage range, while still having enough room to dodge the boss’ attacks.
Their attacks are basically the same as the boss’s weaknesses. If you are directly facing the boss, you should shoot the spider trained on your back, revealing a glowing weak spot where your attacks will be directed. When the boss is about to attack, a blue circle on the ground lights up, indicating where the spider will land and the radius of the damage effect. If you see a blue indicator where you are, dodge or keep running to avoid the attacks. The boss will also jump over the wall and throw some projectiles, again indicated by the blue circles where they will land. With this attack, you must stop attacking and keep running to avoid being hit.
In the second stage, the spider returns slightly stronger, but is accompanied by smaller minions that appear outside the lava ring. This stage is all about keeping moving, destroying small enemies, dodging the boss’s heavy attacks, and continuing to shoot at the boss’s weak point, which is in the same spot on his back.
When you’ve used up 2/3 of the boss’s health, the spider in the middle of the stage turns into a giant centipede. This is probably the easiest part of the final fight if you know what to do. The boss has various attacks while being accompanied by other minions that follow you around. One of these attacks is the lava wall, which erupts and slowly spins around, forcing you to stay within the walls and keep running.
Fortunately, this rotation is pretty slow, which means you can now attack a lot of bubbles on the boss’s body, which are the new weak spots. Sometimes the minions will be on your heels, but you can easily shoot them down. The second attack is indicated by a large blue circle that you must run or dodge to get out of, but nothing is too impossible. Keep in mind, however, that this attack hits pretty hard and can knock you out with a few hits, if not more.
