Publisher Warner Bros Interactive announced that the release of the Harry Potter role-playing game, titled Legacy of Hogwarts, has been delayed until 2022. Originally announced for release in 2021, the Magic RPG will be released in 2022 without a confirmed release date. By the way, very little is known about the next RPG at this point.

The official tweet above doesn’t mention the exact reason for the delay, but simply states that the game has been given extra time to develop in order to be good. The original statement read as follows
We would like to thank fans around the world for the excellent reception to the announcement of Hogwarts Legacy from our label Portkey Games. Creating a better experience for all fans of the wizarding world and the game is our top priority, so we’re giving it time. Hogwarts Legacy will be published in 2022.
If you go to the very first mention of this Harry Potter RPG, we saw a leak in October 2018 when a video showing the RPG title in action was broadcast on Reddit. Surprisingly, the leak was quite accurate, and almost a year after the initial leak, we saw the official reveal of the Warner Bros Interactive name.
The leak describes the game as follows:

During your journey, you will make potions, master new spells, and discover amazing beasts. You fight against dark wizards, goblins and other supernatural enemies and discover the truth about your fate – the fate of the world of wizards is in your hands.

While this may have excited many fans, they will now have to wait another year for the game’s release, but we may see more details about the game’s release soon.
