- Mirror images are stupid. Yeah, I’ve seen it mentioned in a few preseason videos, but they’re not really relevant. They only seem to work if you throw them at the exact thing you want to kill. Then they walk around uselessly half the time, and when you teleport, which is what the building is designed for, they don’t always follow.
- The endless explosion/deathball mechanisms are terrible because they are essential. It keeps falling. Delay for stopping + 3-4 stacks needed to stay alive + short duration + small aoe makes it painful. Honestly, this is the worst part of the build. He needs more Aoe and more time on the sideboard (at least 8 seconds). I can’t spam because ….
- I’m always short of the Dark Force. I have +3 APOC on my Orb and 47% crits and 42% RCD. If I didn’t have to be blown away all the time, it would be doable. I often have to throw spectral blades when they’re empty. Then I skip the explosion and activate the phoenix effect.
- Teleportation is so inconvenient. I was looking forward to walking around like it was Diablo 2, but I keep crashing into walls and caves. It seems to have too little range and the delay between teleports makes it annoying. I hit too many walls for her to jump. Additionally, you need to keep your 50 burn stacks to keep them in your arcane power. I am satisfied with quick builds based on movement.
Like many of you, I was excited to finally play Wizard this season. But I’m the kind of player who likes fast casual farm streams like GoD and Whirlrend. I’ve already rolled Barb and built the Immortal King’s charge while I develop the Void set I want to get from Headrig.
If I’m missing something to alleviate these problems, please let me know. I really want to like the Wizard.

Edit: On the advice of some below, I shamelessly rolled my old well to go from 3 APOC to 4 and increase my critical probability to 62%. I got lucky and the source that rolled was also old with better stats and its own APOC of 4. He plays *much* softer with hidden energy now, but teleportation and imagery still suck. I also wish the Explosive buff had lasted 8 seconds, because it fell several times with low density. But the numbering helped considerably.
Editor 2 : Yes, I’ve read the guides. Yeah, I know, it’s a big building. Yes, I know my equipment is not perfect. I just think it would be more fun to play if these problems were fixed better. Thanks to everyone who offered constructive help, I feel better already.
