- Turn the console off completely and unplug the power cord.
- Plug in the power cord, complete the circuit, then press and hold the power button on the console. The console beeps twice after 8 seconds.
- Your console will now boot into safe mode. Connect the Dual Shock controller to one of the console’s USB ports.
- Highlight the Rebuild Database option and press the X button on the controller.
- Go to the kitchen, eat a bowl of chips, and keep watching Breaking Bad on your phone.
- Come back to your console after an episode or two, and the database rebuild process is complete.
