But the areas around the rivers almost never leave room for things. It gets you thinking about how to set up these places.
To help you create cool things around your rivers, we’ve put together a list of ideas and themes.
So now you can get some well-deserved inspiration and overcome creative blocks.
15. Love Connection Bridge
If your island looks like mine, you have a lot of bridges you don’t know what to do with.
This simple bridge design is the perfect way to brighten up the stream without taking up too much space.
All you have to do to replicate this look on your island is get a little creative with your design.
With a diagonally placed heart at each end of the bridge, this design connects the two sides of the island and makes the bridge less boring.
If you think it needs something more, you can even add your favorite flowers around each end.
14. Midnight Mini Market
I love well designed islands that leave room for the stars to shine brightly.
This riverside flower market is the perfect place to take a break, smell the flowers and look at the stars.
Beautiful plants and flowers are displayed in all these stalls along the cliffs, combined with different types of lighting placed all over the market.
A simple wooden fence also screens off the market square and recreation area. It’s also great to design the entrance to this room!
And of course, you want to put it next to the river. It fits perfectly!
13. Rattan juice bar
Spending a day with your toes in the sand is a must at ACNH.
And that’s exactly what you can do on your Animal Crossing island with this river juice tiki bar.
The rattan furniture collection fits perfectly with the beach theme of this juice bar, which is why you see so many of them.
You can also recreate the tabletop by turning two tables in the study and putting rattan chairs in front of them. The same goes for the seating around the juice bar.
All that’s left to do is add a few things like surfboards, palm tree lights and tiki torches to complete the bar experience.
12. Streams, covers and books

Bookworms are everywhere, including the world of Animal Crossing.
Therefore, it is worth building this model for your quietest inhabitants of the earth.
Since the elements used for this little library are all customizable, this stream design can fit any island theme.
You can make any pattern to lay out as a picnic quilt, and you can even use matching colors to make a pompom pattern at the ends of the quilt.
And of course, you can’t have a library without books. So take your favorite book-related items, like a small bookcase and a stack of books, and put them everywhere.
The combination of a flowing river, a field of flowers and candlelight makes this reading nook just cozy.
11. Corrugated waterway

Bridges are a great way to beautify the rivers around your island.
But there is another way to cross the river without building a bridge.
Yes, small steps in the middle of larger rivers can happen with little irrigation. Then you can use them to cross over.
This particular design uses heart-shaped plots, decorated with flowers and shrubs, to emphasize the natural element of the island.
But the beauty of this model is that you can choose any shape and size. So it works for all the streams you have.
And if you have enough space, you can even add lighting and seating.
10. Rockery by the river

Everyone needs a little zen in their lives. So why not come to the mouth of your island river with this design?
This serene stone space transforms your ordinary rock garden by adding a touch of zen.
To recreate this garden on your own island, you need to plant a small area of land in your river with water.
Then you can decorate the rock garden with your favorite rock recipes that fit the theme.
This design also uses different bamboo elements like a bench, a bamboo wall, and a candle, all of which help to tie the Zen garden part of this idea together.
You can also beautify your rock garden by balancing an excess of stones with natural elements such as trees, shrubs or flowers.
All you have to do now is finish your rock garden, throw yourself into the bridge on either side and admire your masterpiece!
9. Jungle River

If you want to see the jungle, well, this is it.
This design uses tropical plants and trees to bring this jungle river to life.
You can shape this design any way you like, including collecting your favorite organic items like flowers, bamboo and coconut palms and placing them around the river. Keep it green!
The only incorporated elements in this jungle design are wooden poles and a few piles of green leaves, which again look very natural.
You can even customize the design of your river by adding rocks and waterfalls, or you can create your own path to cover all exposed areas.
Line the banks of your river with water lilies, flowers, or anything else that completes the jungle look.
8. Brick Walk
This walk is almost like Italy, isn’t it?
The addition to the feed is both creative and detailed. And you can do it yourself, with a little effort.
With its brick bridges, brick fences and brick walkways, this area has a very distinctive recurring theme….. Bricks.
But excess can be harmful, and so a counterbalance is provided by the garden carts and lanterns that line the walls.
You can execute this idea yourself by adding custom walkway designs, or you can even deviate from the brick theme entirely and use stone, or even build a boardwalk.
Lots of options!
7. Canal house

This cottage design, although very simple, is a great way to decorate along the river. And look at this beautiful garden.
If you’re designing it for an animal on your island, a little research is all it takes to tailor the design to your breeder’s tastes.
You can also make each garden unique by adding custom designs, such as. For example, make wooden steps or a walkway and place them throughout the garden.
There are not many items incorporated or purchased in this model. Instead, she uses nature to beautify the area with elements like flowers and bamboo.
However, there is a country fence that fits the country style of the house. And a hammock for your farmer!
6. Flower River Trail
Someone should call Celeste, because she would love to see that flower path.
There are not many high elements in this design, which keeps the sky clear and makes it one of the best places to wish for shooting stars.
This riverside garden is very easy to recreate because it consists almost entirely of flowers.
Just looking around and planting a few flowers is more than half the battle.
The next step is to pave a path so that villagers and visitors to the island can enjoy a pleasant walk along the river, surrounded by fragrant flowers.
If your garden is a little boring with just flowers, you can spice it up by putting small outdoor objects in it. Things like garden gnomes and butterfly models.
5. Floating Art Gallery

Chances are, if you have such images in your inventory, you’ll have no luck buying art from the infamous Redd.
The design of this floating art gallery could benefit hapless shoppers by displaying them on the riverbank, creating a creative mix of art and nature.
This design also puts a different spin on the steps, using them as a means of displaying art rather than a makeshift bridge.
The colour white takes centre stage, with plants such as a cushion of white mummy flowers, white flowers and a snow white statue.
And blue can be found in objects like the iron garden chairs from that time, then the blue hydrangea bushes, not to mention the deep blue river water!
You can even continue this pattern across the river if you want to create a complete photo gallery.
4. River Cafe

Adding buildings along the river is an excellent way to fill in these small empty spaces.
And this riverside cafe design is not only charming, but it also uses a lot of elements.
Moreover, the addition of such a café to your island can help you achieve a five-star rating.
Here’s how:
Lay the wood floor and imperial fence to lay the foundation for your coffee island.
You can use the kiosks to display products such as pastries, espressos and other things found in the café.
Use iron garden benches and chairs as seating, in keeping with the outdoor theme of this cafe, and put azalea wigs in the outdoor space. You can then finish off your coffee by adding some plants here and there.
3. Immersion speed

This structure connects the mouths of two rivers and is designed to be submerged in the middle, creating a stunning sight.
A field of bright colors surrounds an inverted waterfall, while a stone statue of a lion dog and tiki torches stand in the middle.
There are also custom floral designs placed on separate floor fields in each corner of the water below and in the middle, and it’s a really cool accent.
This is probably one of the coolest designs for your estuary, and it looks like a great place for selfies!
2. Multi-phase current

Much of the island’s design is terraforming.
And the restoration of this sunken river will take a lot of effort.
The ideal place to place the wreck would be in an area where the bottom of the island is one or two levels higher. So that’s a good place to start.
Before decorating, break down the floor on the first level according to the desired shape of the river.
When you are done watering, you can round off the edges of the rocks and make small waterfalls that flow into the river.
And you can fill in some empty spaces with shrubs, flowers and trees to make it more natural. Maybe even add some lights for a nice night view!
1. Cooling channel
There is definitely a theme to the design of this sunken river:
The white winter!
The combination of the white light scattered on the ground and the blanket of snow covering everything gives me the same warm feeling I get at Christmas.
But the statues and imperial decor prevent this design from being too festive.
It is essentially a flooded river surrounded by rocks, flowers and trees. And it’s all between two houses, each with its own design for the garden.
This design uses new white lanterns, white garden lights, and even white floor lamps.
That means the secondary theme must be light, right?
Seeing how intricate the design of this river is, I just want to know what the rest of the island looks like.
