Smith’s season 8 is coming up in February and we can’t wait to see it in the air. You can use it from January 8th on the PTS server, parallel to the World Championship games, where six teams compete to be recognized as the best in the league. But you don’t go back to the same Smite Conquest card you normally play in season 7. There will be many changes in Season 8, and the Conquest card will offer many new meta changes for players, especially those who play a role in the jungle.
Here’s the map for season 8, and let’s start discussing what has been removed before we get into the new dives.
What is deleted
Season 8 hasn’t been too strong, so don’t expect to miss too much. The temple in the jungle that contained a golden chalice that gave your team a golden tidal wave has been removed. You will not return to this area of the map to hit it and retrieve the gold, so you will have to find other methods to get gold for your team.
New Jungle Roads
New roads in the jungle appear everywhere on the map of conquests. The tall ones are presented at the entrance leading to the phoenix, and behind them are the golden henchmen and the beginning XP harps.
The golden buffalo and XP harpy from the early jungle moved a bit to sit in the middle of the jungle instead of hugging the walls. There are also extra open areas, which makes fighting in these areas a bit more difficult, because the gods running to their side of the map can exploit the line of sight. However, the attackers also have another route to take the Phoenix, which can make fighting for advanced followers and accessing the Titan much more dangerous.
Both teams will have to learn how to fight in this new zone and change tactics depending on how the enemies besiege them.
New harpy XP
There are two new XP harps in the jungle, as well as solo buffalo tracks on the map. Instead of just one closer to the middle track, there is a second, not too far away, where jungle players can expect experience points. It is nice to see that they have added a new way for jungle players to get extra XP and gold, but it also encourages them to visit this part of the map, which might help the lonely road a bit more often.
Tracking scorpions
In addition, gates have been added to make the right and left track even more exciting. For the long track, for the duo team, there are scorpion tracks on both sides.
If you take out a scorpion and stand in the circle around it, you and your allies will have a healing aura. It’s a great way to put pressure on your opponents, aim and find a reason to stay aggressive while you play. For the solo course this scorpion camp is in the middle, in front of the tiki. If you are ambitious and win enough, you can have both to give you a big advantage over your opponent, especially if you can keep them.
No scorpions have been added to the central runway.
Gold Fury and Giant Fire Scorpions
The branches of Golden Fury and Firebrand will work slightly differently in season 8. The Golden Anger usually takes place in five minutes, followed by the Fire Giant and the Pyromancer in ten minutes. But before they emerge, large scorpions will rise above these spawning grounds. It must be taken so that a larger and more useful target can be created. But these Scorpions are not here to address these goals. They also form a team that leads them to an extra fan. When you eliminate these scorpions, they grind the quadrant of your team in the jungle, increasing the amount of grind on your side, and they appear in a new place on your side of the jungle.
The next time your jungle lovers reload on the same side of the map as you and eliminate these scorpions, they will enjoy a long-lasting effect. The next time scorpions appear in the game, they will appear on your side of the map below. They appear in the question marks next to the lens in the middle band. The Scorpion of Golden Rage lies a little deeper in the jungle, while the Giant Fire Scorpions offer a slightly bigger chance to fight as a team, making it a little harder to keep your team safe.
The official patch notes for season 8 are now available and accessible to everyone. Not only do we have an idea of what the Conquest card will look like, but we also have a better idea of what we can expect from player building. The addition of new starting products and their improved versions make the game much more interesting for Smite’s competitive players. A new Battle Pass, Most Wanted, and the season starts on the 26th. January.
