The PlayStation Showcase 2021 event was the first time Sony has revealed their plans for the next year. They announced a few new games, but also made some big changes to how they are releasing games in the future.

Sony just wrapped up their PlayStation Showcase 2021 event, which included some big announcements for future PlayStation 5 titles. There was a lot that surprised us, from big titles scheduled for next year to games arriving this year.
If you missed the PlayStation Showcase 2021 livestream, we’ve compiled a rundown of everything that was shown. You won’t want to miss this, believe us when we say so.
Remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
The Showcase began with a new video for the PlayStation 5 version of Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic Remake. We didn’t receive any more information, particularly when it came to a release date. In any event, we received a new trailer.
Eve’s Project
Project Eve was the first game to give us a taste of what the new PlayStation 5 system has in store. We do know that it is an action-adventure game set in the not-too-distant future on a devastated Earth, pitting players against unknown foes.
Join forces with friends along the road and take on the challenge of the difficult adventure by following the strong heroine Eve.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is a fantasy world created by Tiny Tina.
Set off on an amazing journey filled with whimsy, wonder, and high-powered weapons! Bullets, magic, and broadswords clash in this chaotic fantasy realm, which is brought to life by Tiny Tina.
Forspoken
Another one of those games that piques your interest simply by glancing at a few screenshots. In Spring 2022, Forspoken will be released on the PlayStation 5.
Frey Holland is mysteriously taken from New York City and finds herself imprisoned in the beautiful and terrible country of Athia, wearing a magical, sentient bracelet. Frey’s new cynical friend “Cuff” assists her in navigating Athia’s vast terrain.
Frey will fight terrible monsters, confront the mighty Tantas, and discover truths that will awaken something much greater from inside in his quest for a path home.
Extraction of Rainbow Six
Rainbow Six Extraction also has a new trailer. In January 2022, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction will be released on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Stadia, and PC.
Remastered version of Alan Wake
Alan Wake Remastered isn’t far away; in less than a month, on October 5, the remastered version of the game will be released for the PlayStation 5.
Grand Theft Auto V is a video game developed by Rockstar Games.
With yet another new trailer showing us absolutely nothing new, Rockstar is out here milking every last drop of Grand Theft Auto V. Grand Theft Auto V has been pushed back to March 2022, with the exception of a few gameplay enhancements that take use of the PlayStation 5.
Tokyo Ghostwire
Ghostwire Tokyo’s release date has been revealed, and it will be released on the PlayStation 5 in Spring 2022.
Tokyo is invaded by terrible magical powers, which are unleashed by a violent magician known as Hannya, and the city’s population vanishes in a moment. As you FACE THE UNKNOWN in Ghostwire: Tokyo, team up with a strong ghostly entity on their mission for revenge and master a formidable array of powers to uncover the terrible truth behind the disappearance.
The Guardians of the Galaxy are a superhero team created by Marvel.
With a new Guardians of the Galaxy narrative trailer, you should be eager for the film’s October 26 release.
Blood Hunt for Vampire the Masquerade
Become the greatest vampire by joining the Bloodhunt! Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodhunt is a free battle royale game based in the world of Vampire: The Masquerade. A cruel treachery has sparked a war among vampires, who are simultaneously being hunted down and annihilated by the Entity, a hidden organization. In this exciting battle royale game, use your supernatural abilities, weapons, and wits to rule the night and restore the Masquerade.
Deathloop
Deathloop is just a few days away, launching exclusively on the PlayStation 5 next week on September 14th.
A Kid’s Mnesia Exhibit
To celebrate 21 years of Radiohead’s Kid A and Amnesiac, an upside-down digital/analogue world was constructed using original artwork and sounds. The release date is set for November 2021.
Tchia
An open-world tropical adventure. In this physics-based sandbox, climb, glide, swim, and sail your boat across a gorgeous archipelago. Take control of whatever animal or item you can discover with Tchia’s Soul Jumping ability, and jam on your fully playable Ukulele. New Caledonia was the inspiration for this game.
Collection of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves
The Legacy of Thieves Collection will include both Uncharted 4 and Uncharted Lost Legacy for the PS5 and PC very early next year.
Wolverine is a character from the Marvel Comics universe.
Insomniac Games surprised everyone by releasing a teaser trailer for Marvel’s Wolverine. The game is presently being developed and is expected to be released in 2023.
Gran Turismo 7 is a racing game.
Gran Turismo 7 has a fresh new teaser, but no release date has been announced, as is customary for Polyphony Digital. Regardless, the trailer was very enjoyable.
Spider-Man 2 is a sequel to Marvel’s Spider-Man.
The unveiling of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was yet another major surprise during the Showcase. In 2023, the sequel to the highly acclaimed Marvel’s Spider-Man will be released on the PlayStation 5, along with Marvel’s Wolverine.
Ragnarok, the God of War
Finally, we got our first glimpse at the action-packed God of War Ragnarok trailer, which once again features Kratos and his son Atreus in action. We do know that the game takes place years after the original, and that the primary antagonists are Thor and Freya.
