NieR Replicant 1.22474487139… – David Lynch’s Legend of Zelda

I was on my way to have a quick meal at a local sushi restaurant, when I was hit by a piece of lightning. The restaurant was covered in flames, and all the food had been burnt to a crisp. As I struggled to free myself from the wreckage, I was struck by an image of a young girl in a white gown standing in the ruins of her burnt out home. A strange man in a black coat stood before her, offering her an opportunity to preserve her existence by transferring her consciousness to a machine.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker recently released on the Wii U, and was quite the disappointment for many. The graphics are not as detailed or as detailed as the original Nintendo Gamecube game, the game’s length is a little too short and many of the game’s features had been removed. One feature that was removed was the ship sailing.

REVIEW – It takes a lot of ingenuity to name a video game NieR Replicant 1.22474487139…. But thanks to Yoko Taro, he succeeded. We tested the latest version of NieR, a unique RPG released a decade ago, on the Xbox Series X.

In a way, Yoko Taro is the misunderstood David Lynch of the video game industry. He hasn’t made many games, but they all have a unique style, and he’s a true eccentric. Yoko Taro only gives interviews when he’s kind of the David Lynch of the game industry. He hasn’t made many games, but they all have a unique style, and he’s a real eccentric who only gives interviews when one of his characters is wearing a grotesque mask on his head. The adjective obscure only applies to NieR: Automaton in 2017, as it was the first game to be a huge success. Around the same time, the press and gamers began to show more interest in Taro’s older games, including 2010’s NieR, several versions of which have since been released. Even these games were released in strange ways on different platforms. For example, in the PlayStation 3 version of NieR Replicant, which was only released in Japan, we played a young man, while in NieR Gestalt for Xbox we played an older man. Both were related to the main character of the game, a sick girl: The replicant hero was the girl’s brother, and the gestalt hero her father. Neither version was a huge success on either continent, and the NieR franchise would likely have sunk into indifference without NieR’s incredible popularity: Automata, whose previous installment was so eagerly awaited. And now another impossibly titled game NieR Replicant 1.22474487139… that I’ve been playing for a whole week on the Xbox Series X. word-image-3573

Black scribble

In a world that mixes post-apocalyptic elements with traditional fantasy, the main character is a young man whose sister is infected with a deadly plague, the Black Death, for which there seems to be no cure. Both live in a small village, surrounded by walls to prevent dark, aggressive and mysterious creatures from invading and harassing the population. Our hero’s main goal is to somehow stop the epidemic, and it is said that this can only be done through a resurrected book called Grimoire Weiss, who is the archenemy of the other Black Book (Black Grimoire). Weiss goes along for the adventure, but the problem is that this comically arrogant, cynical, smug delivery boy knows nothing about it, and only finds out when the village girl sings the legend. Our other companion is a very sexy girl, Kaine, who wears only her underwear and, despite her angelic appearance, utters extremely profane language, as cynical as Weiss – though it is unclear whether this harshness is simply a behavior she has internalized. Anyway, he and Grimoire Weiss exchange laughs constantly, and the dialogue is excellent. Third, we are joined by Emil, an unusual little boy who later takes on a strange guise and reveals even stranger things about himself….. word-image-3574

Play it again, NieR!

As you’ve probably figured out by now, NieR Replicant 1.22474487139… takes a unique and innovative approach to storytelling that sets it apart from traditional fantasy. If you compare it to the classic franchise, it’s reminiscent of the darker, more cynical and funnier Legend of Zelda, directed by David Lynch. The main story has several endings that can be explored by replaying, as well as many side missions that add color to the game. You can also take the story to the extreme, for example. B. change the music played during the game, as well as many other possibilities that would be too long to list here. Yoko Taro’s goal was clear: make you fall in love with the special atmosphere of NieR and play it over and over again. Since the quirky and eccentric, but also special Tarot now has a large following, a treat awaits them with a very unexpected ending. word-image-3575

We will not order much from you

The game’s controls were the biggest drawback of the previous versions, and the developers have improved them considerably. It’s essentially a traditional sword and sorcery RPG where you can use different buttons on the controller to perform different attack moves and combos. Our hero’s movements are much more precise than in previous versions, but what may be missing is a real challenge, which is a bit unusual for a Japanese game. In practice, we can beat the end bosses pretty easily, not to mention the other monsters. Since we almost always carry a bag full of healing potions in case we get hit too hard, beginners might be able to get into it, but those looking for a really serious challenge might not be happy with this game. The game is indeed long and difficult, but rarely does time go by without having to replay an end boss over and over again. word-image-3576

A unique game, from the eccentric maker of.

As you might have guessed, NieR Replicant 1.22474487139… – Is a very special play by the eccentric humorous Yoko Taro. Even if the plot is only marginally related to NieR: Automaton, it remains a must-read for anyone who loved this 2017 bestseller. Admittedly, I can’t praise the graphics: 1440p resolution on the Xbox Series X and 1080p on the PlayStation 5, which is pretty amazing for a game of this type. The graphics are still nice and atmospheric, with lots of artwork in many places and a much sharper visual world than the older, blurrier console versions, but it’s not a game that takes full advantage of the newer consoles or more modern graphics cards, that’s for sure. -Zardoz-
