Here is a breakdown of all the best Genshin Impact recipes by type.
The best dishes for resuscitation
None of the Renaissance dishes are necessarily bad. However, the three options below are also the best (if you must)!
- Golden Crab Balls: Shrimp meat (x5), potatoes (x4), flour (x3)
- Pancakes and tea: Berries (x3), flour (x2), chicken egg (x1).
- Vegetarian abalone : Matsutake (x2), Snydragon (x2).
Best therapeutic food
The most important thing when preparing medicinal dishes is the balance between the ingredients. We recommend alternating the following options depending on the meat or vegetables you have in abundance.
- Universal peace: Rice (x4), Lotus head (x2), Carrot (x2), Berries (x2).
- Moon City Hash Brown: Pine cone (x2), potato (x1), jam (x1).
- Squirrel fish: Fish (x4), Tomato (x2), Flour (x2), Sugar (x1)
- Golden Chicken Burger: Poultry (x4), flour (x2), cabbage (x2), butter (x2).
- Matsutake meatloaf: Matsutake (x2), raw meat (x2).
- Ma’am: Bird (x2), Sweet Flower (x2).
Multiple meals heal over time, which can be especially useful if your character starts to get full. We recommend using the one below as the ingredients are easier to find.

The best dishes to increase the attack
Honestly, you can benefit from using almost any seizure-enhancing product. Still, it is better to focus your resources on the preparation of a specific dish: The temptation of the follower. If you haven’t gotten this dish yet, you’ll get the next best dish after completing one of the first quests in the game.
- Seduction of Adeptus (The Best): Ham (x4), crab (x3), shrimp (x3), matsutake (x3).
- Jade plots (alternatives): Lotus head (x3), Jueyun Pepper (x2), Cabbage (x2), Ham (x1)
While most characters will benefit only slightly, we’ve also added two accessories that increase physical damage. These dishes are best suited to characters with a high physical attack (like Razor), so we don’t recommend giving preference to others.
- Tianxiu’s flesh: Raw meat (x4), sugar (x2), qingxin (x1), matsutake (x1).
- Zhuyong Guoba: Horsetail (x2), rice (x2), ham (x1), chili (x1).
Best defense meals
When it comes to defensive enhancement products, only the increase in shield strength or healing effectiveness is worth it. Don’t waste your time with shells that reinforce flat protection.
- Mooncakes (Shield Power): Raw meat (x4), bird egg (x4), butter (x3), flour (x2).
- Golden Crab (healing effect): Bird’s eggs (x5), flour (x5), crab (x4), salt (x2)
- Zonneveld (Shield strength): Oil (x3), fish (x3), salt (x1), lamp grass (x1).
Best meals for endurance
Some foods can affect your endurance by restoring a certain level of endurance or decreasing the percentage of endurance used during a sprint, climb or slide. These stamina-changing dishes are also called adventurer dishes in the game.
- Northern smoked chicken (restores stamina) : Smoked chicken (x1), cabbage (x1), onion (x1)
- Lotus seed soup and bird’s egg (used for sprints): Lotus head (x1), bird egg (x1), sugar (x1).
- Ratatouille Barbatos (Used during the push) : Carrots (x4), potatoes (x4), onions (x4).
- Sticky honey roast (used in climbing) : Raw meat (x3), carrots (x2), sugar (x2).
For the cold, goulash is gold!
We want to make a special note about the Goulash dish, which can reduce the effect of the cold on your characters. This is useful for learning about the dragon’s back and defeating the domain above it. Talk to Harris at the Dragonspine camp to activate the quest that will give you this recipe.
- Goulash (used at the back of the wing, or when full cooling mode is active) : Chilled meat (x2), carrots (x2), tomatoes (x1).
