Childlike aesthetics is basically any idea or design that little kids love (or at least how their playroom looks!).
We talk about crafts, roller coasters, rainbows, teddy bears, and everything else a 10-year-old can enjoy.
There are so many different aspects to baseball that it can be difficult to choose a starting point for your island.
Well, here are some of the most fun and playful ideas for New Horizons that are sure to bring out your inner child.
25. Rainbow Bridge
This is a simple idea that can really add something special to your island.
While not an official island bridge and not comparable to the Rainbow Bridge in Asgard, it can be a fun way to connect two islands.
Just leave a piece of land on the other side of the river and build rainbow trails.
I like to use the bow and rabbit fence to bridge over a simple strip of land, so I would definitely stock up on eggs.
24. Picnic in the garden
Kidcore doesn’t always have to be super expressive.
If you like more muted colors, but still want to give it a try, you might want to design a fun picnic.
Choose your favorite villager and place a few personalized picnic blanket designs near their home.
It comes with items like a picnic basket or even a birthday cake. We have lots of picnic ideas here.
Then just decorate the garden with flowers, toys, and everything else.
Buy items like an elephant slide or a teddy bear and make a rocking horse to play with.
23. Block toy room
Kidcore ideas often use wooden furniture, usually combined with pastel or colorful patterns.
So for this design, you can make a wooden block table, chair and bookcase from wooden toys and soft wood.
You can even create a stack of bands and match them to the bright colors of the game.
What makes this design so special is that this player took the time to design toy blocks for each letter and stack them all on the floor.
It even matches the poster on the wall!
It’s a commitment.
22. Colorful playground
In some ways, building a children’s playground isn’t the most innovative idea… but I think it deserves to be mentioned.
This simple idea can be applied by anyone who wants to brighten up a child’s appearance.
Start making colorful custom paths and even chalk drawings like a jump. Personally, I love the hop board on my island.
Then buy a bunch of playground equipment, like gyms, seesaws, elephant slides and tricycles.
I also recommend a sandbox, because sandboxes are cool.
Then build a few benches out of softwood blocks so parents can watch their kids enjoy your new playground.
21. Mini Service Station
Kids don’t fill up cars they don’t have.
So the idea of a new island is clear.
Start by designing a convenience store space with simple, colorful custom signs and rails.
Then add a conference table and a desktop computer. There are also snack and drink vending machines and some public seating.
Next, you will want to customize your pumps by purchasing retro fuel pumps and race car beds.
Now it’s time to pretend and refuel!
20. Frog pool
Kidcore designers can also play with fun water toys like this frog pond.
To make it yourself, first make this frog pool – leaving little islands for the eyes, cheeks and mouth.
Then create colorful paths around the pond.
I love that this player has gone two ways here. The outer track is a rainbow bridge and the inner track is a rainbow track with some container wagons.
And don’t forget the custom heart design on the frog’s cheeks, because it’s just adorable!
19. School game
Much of childhood takes place in the elementary and preschool years.
So why not put on a school play?
To make this area your own island, start by setting up custom plank paths and install simple panels with custom curtain patterns.
Set out some personalized rainbow picnic pillows and blankets for the kids to sit on while they watch.
Be sure to purchase and make all decorations for the stage, such as large and small mushroom pillows, tree and grass stands, and spring pulls.
If you buy a Princess Peach dress and armor, your cast can dress up and relax for the show of their lives.
18. World comic shop
I’m a big fan of comics, both as a reader and a writer.
And Mira is the perfect villager who has a comic book stand in his backyard.
To do this, set up a few kiosks and configure them with a fun and colorful pattern. And make sure there are stacks of comics on the shelves.
Next, set up colorful customs and make colorful wooden block tables and chairs for Mira’s readers.
As a comic book author, I really appreciate the opportunity to sit at the comic book table. A great place to write your next exciting topic!
17. School canteen
Good memories of lunch in the school cafeteria.
Maybe the food wasn’t the best. But the idea of a school cafeteria certainly does!
Do it yourself by setting up different stalls in different bright colors.
Next, buy all the food you’ll be serving, such as soup pots, rice cookers, toasters, and New Year’s noodles.
Also, don’t forget to buy vending machines for drinks and sweets/snacks. This way the children can enjoy the treats.
After making the tables and chairs out of wooden blocks, all the kids can sit down and enjoy their lunch!
16. Gummi Bear Village
There are no gummy bears in Animal Crossing, but the idea of such a small village is hilarious and endearing.
To make this simple creation, I would start with the landscape and make some small rocks.
Then buy dollhouses of all colors and place them over your bricks.
Then make rainbow paths around your village. Now the gummy bears can go inside!
15. Village hall
I had a tree house when I was a kid.
I’ve never been there. But I have it anyway.
If you want to relive your play days in a tree house, this idea is worth building.
Start greening your island to make the top level of your cabin.
Don’t forget to add some trees too. In a way, they are necessary for the existence of the hut.
Next, install many simple panels that resemble the walls of your beautiful cabin.
If you buy a loft bed with a desk, you can place that in the front section as a staircase to your fantasy station.
14. Ice cream truck
I have seen many ideas for ice cream stands. But this is the first time I’ve seen someone make a real ice cream truck in Animal Crossing.
For this idea, you need to make an ice cream truck by building some stands and putting some simple shelves on it.
Place your simple signs between the two booths to showcase all the summer products you will be selling.
Then build a bench for inside the truck, and make a wooden bench out of blocks to sit on outside.
The addition of soft gift lighting adds a nice touch. Because the more ice cream, the better!
13. A child in a candy store
Candy is another idea I keep seeing. And kidcore is the perfect theme for this candy store idea.
Build it yourself by installing custom colored tiles.
I love the use of light blue and pink here, as it gives the room a cotton candy feel.
Don’t forget to install lots of simple plaques to proudly display your sugar stash.
Then buy a big piece of table in the living room to display more candy, like. B. Candy sets, standing mixers, and analog kitchen scales.
Of course you are free to use whatever furniture you want, but I think the Kiki and Lala benches and tables are perfect for this building.
12. Super Mario Pad
The addition of Super Mario elements to ACNH opens up many possibilities for children’s ideas.
I mean, almost everything Mario does is perfect under other toys.
You can create your own Mario playground however you like, but there are some factors that set this model apart.
I love that this player has implemented several custom railroads that run around different Mario elements.
They revolve around blocks, blocks, floating blocks, shells, coins, stars and pretty much everything Mario is made up of.
I also love the chalk drawings and hop board incorporated into the design with a real childlike aesthetic.
11. Tiny Toy Town
If you had a vivid imagination as a child when you played with your toys, you probably also wanted to live in a special place for your toys.
Maybe like this little toy town!
For this idea, you need to define different height levels to create a more dynamic scene.
Then customize some simple signs to look like colorful city buildings.
You can also put a few beds in the attic with desks that will serve as a roof and fire escape.
Put rainbow paths all over town and that’s it.
You can even buy dollhouses for small toys.
10. Flower and fire garden
Getting back to the Super Mario theme, one of the most famous power-ups in all video games is the fire flower.
You can install them in a fun garden, like this design here, which includes kidcore elements.
Make a few rows of mud trails to start. This is where you want to plant your fiery flowers.
You can also create other custom designs, such as rainbows, flowers, and colorful pathways, to add a fun twist.
I also love the addition of a small mushroom platform and a balloon.
Just a few small set pieces that give the scene more life.
9. Rainbow market
Many people have made marketable models for their islands.
Then why not make it a children’s market?
For this idea, start by setting up custom color paths. I like the alternation of rectangles and circles that this player has made a habit of.
Put lots of colorful stalls along the main aisle so you can choose from a wide variety of vendors.
Set up a row of counters with disc boxes, biotope units, candy dispensers, toy boxes or even golf bags. Treat yourself!
And don’t forget to spend a few Nook miles on public benches so that visitors to your market have a place to rest.
8. Color channel
I found some great ideas that people have applied to their islands. And most of them are ideas I would never have thought of.
The construction of a rainbow canal is one of these ideas.
The first step to making it yourself is making water to make a river of decent size.
You certainly want the river here to be as straight as possible.
Then you have to save money to build several bridges across the river. This guy has at least three, so it’s going to be an expensive undertaking.
Create your own path of preferred color on the sides.
Then treat the wooden benches and buy drink dispensers so everyone can sit and relax by the water.
7. Carpentry course
If you’re good with your hands, woodworking was probably one of your favorite subjects in school.
Let’s bring him into the world of Animal Crossing with this outdoor carpentry (with a kid-friendly aesthetic, of course).
Start laying the floor. I like how this player uses terracotta tiles with a custom rainbow border.
Then hang lots of shelves and buy pictures for the background.
Then you need to configure all the tasks.
Each station requires a tool cart and a folding headlamp – pretty simple.
Then each car is loaded with regular toolboxes and wooden toolboxes.
And to make this idea complete, you’ll want to make all the projects for them!
Wooden ducks, rocking horses and birdhouses are all woodworking projects that deserve an A+.
6. Bathroom and laundry room
Here’s another idea I never would have thought of – and will be even more excited about!
Install two small outdoor areas with custom flooring.
One place has lots of automatic washing machines and the other has cypress bathtubs.
What really enhances the playground theme are all the out-of-the-box designs.
There are simple custom signs that announce both a laundry room and a bathroom, fun schoolyard-style designs, and even colorful cubicles that look like windows.
This shows how much effort has been put into this design.
5. Recreation City Square
image source by @ stargazing intersections
Christmas is always a big scene.
So adding rainbows to the holiday season can be even more wonderful!
I would start this project by building dedicated lanes for Cranny Nook.
While you can certainly customize the paths however you want, the heart shape this player created really made it more fun.
In the middle, you want to place a lighted tree to match the beautiful rainbow pattern.
Then make iron garden benches to place around the tree. And now the festivities can begin!
4. Child birthday party
One of the best things about being a kid is all the fun birthday parties.
I’ll be 25 soon and I’ll be lucky if I get any presents.
But we can relive the fun at ACNH, and this party idea is perfect. For starters, you’ll need wooden dressers and a stereo to play the party music.
If you have a birthday table, you should set it for the guest of honor (in this case, Stitch, who I highly recommend).
I also love the wooden tables arranged in the shape of a puzzle. It helps him feel like a kid.
You can’t forget the party floor here either, because, well, it’s a party!
3. Tomato Ketchup Plate
Ketchup can easily be one of the most popular products in the country.
Hey, I actually had him on the island for a while.
His cute little head is literally a tomato, so the baby tomato pick is the perfect design for his garden.
Start this project by laying out a few rows of dirt paths. You can grow your own crops, represented by butterfly lamps, mashed potatoes and apples.
You’ll also want to create custom, colorful pathways between your growing areas.
Finally, there are some fun crafts like a doghouse and a silo. Now the tomatoes can just grow, grow, grow!
2. Open-air kindergarten
Schälle-Dorn image source.
I worked with preschoolers for about a year. That’s why I think this is an appropriate concept.
To create your own outdoor dining area, start by installing simple custom panels that look like windows, cubes and walls.
Then use the blocks to build wooden furniture, such as dressers and especially shelves.
I love the personalized letter blocks in the background. It just adds something special to the scene.
And make a note of this: You will definitely want to buy community benches for the kids to sit on.
Then the fun of learning can begin!
1. Roller skates
I’ve said before that I’d be impressed if someone made a roller coaster for their island.
Well, it’s already been done. Praised.
With such a dynamic design, it can be difficult to know where to start.
To start, I would set the scene and put lots of rocks. Add ramps where you want to ride a spectacular roller coaster up and down.
Then make a variety of custom tracks that act as a colorful roller coaster.
And don’t forget to set up your coasters by building a cart and buying floor chairs.
But this is a list of little guys. You don’t want a simple coaster.
So, on the scene, there are plenty of toy chests, play gyms, and other individual ways to keep busy for a lifetime!
