The same goes for the riders. I’ve already put 62 hours into the game, and I’m going to continue it. Of course, there are many problems with the game at this point. But since it didn’t really concern me, I’m not sure I’m in a position to comment at this point.
Now let’s not get off topic. You’re here to learn how to drop weapons at close range, and that’s exactly what you’ll learn.
What is the damage of melee weapons?
I think the term itself is pretty clear. This is the damage you inflict with your weapon when you are close to your enemies. This may sound simple, but it’s not. So far I’ve seen a lot of people asking questions about this, and most of them don’t know how it really works.
When Outriders came out, people thought that melee damage could only be accomplished with melee weapons like rifles and machine guns. But after a while it became clear that this could happen with any type of weapon. You just need to keep some distance from your opponent. Ten meters, to be exact. At least, that’s what the game says.
You can easily check this information by going to your inventory and pressing the shift key or any other status key. The Player Status window should appear. Hover your mouse pointer over WEAPONS CLOSE and you will get all the information.
Now you can ask a lot of questions: How far or how long is 10 yards with the outriders? This is the distance the player must move away from their opponents to receive an increase in damage from attackers with the melee weapon. Since I am the main illusionist, I usually run into enemies with my weapon or teleport after them with my Prey Hunter skill. So if I think it’s important, I’m sure many other frauds think it’s important too.
It is very difficult to say exactly what a distance of 10 meters means for routers. But I made a video to give you a clear idea.
In fact, you should see two damage figures in the video. The first is 2932, the second is 4104. 2932 is when I’m out of range, and the damage number is 4104 when I’m in range of my opponent. As a result, I get this awesome melee weapon damage. And before I shot the video, I made sure I had no benefits that would affect the damage.
As you can see, you need to be close enough to your opponents to get a boost. While this isn’t a huge issue with the smaller enemies, the elites and bosses are the biggest problem here. Most of them would probably push you into another dimension. So you have to make sure you get better at it. Otherwise, you’d often have to sweep the floor and beg your teammates to resuscitate you. Just put some Weapon Leech in your body and you should be good.
That’s it! I’m sure any questions you had about short range weapons destruction have already been answered. If not, please ask your question in the comment box below. I’ll make sure to answer any questions. Enjoy the game!
