How to attenuate a meter shirring
You pretty much figure out how to weaken the Methyr Shirrids before your big fight with them starts. You must destroy his pendant, and the more you destroy in the dungeon, the more Methyr-Shirraid will restore you to health. That’s all there is. The way to weaken them is to explore all areas of each room in the dungeon, remove these minions, and then move on to the next area. This may make their dungeon seem a bit long, but it’s worth it if you want to make it easier to fight them.
How to beat the meter tornado
When you enter the Methyr Shirride Arena, they are on the other side of the square, and you have to cross the bridge. While you do that, they shoot at you with a bow and arrow. There are a few poles you can hide behind that stand between you and them, but you want to watch Methyr-Shirrid shoot a glowing red arrow. Usually their area will be white, and if they shoot at you while you’re crossing the bridge, you can dodge them. Red arrows are much harder to dodge. We had great difficulty in getting away from them within range and were advised to stay behind the posts until we saw a shot. Then continue until you reach Methyr-Shirride at the end. When you reach them, they jump to the next platform and you have to climb the stairs to fight them.
Methir-Shirraidh can still use his distant attacks against you. So if they are at close range, you can expect them to fire a few shots. The same rules apply if you fight them from a distance. So, if you see a red arrow loaded, you can expect it to hit you. But we found it a little easier to avoid at close range.
I think Shirride hits first, followed by a little help from you like a melee attack. You can parry the shot and then duck in the direction of his shot. Dash’s escape gives you the chance to turn around and hit them multiple times before they turn back to you. They do this attack two or three times in a row.
After a few attacks against you, Methyr-Shirrid will rise into the air and climb into the tree behind the arena. They sit in the branches and shoot at you from a distance, as if fighting on the bridge, but there is no bar to protect you. Methyr-Shirrid will fire about three shots before returning to your side of the arena and fighting with you in a melee. You will repeat this process until you have defeated them.
Towards the end of the fight they appear weak as they are almost defeated and have a red aura around them. They let him out and can hurt you if you get close enough.
